Creative At-Home Couples Photoshoot Idea
Have a glass or french door at home? Have a window with interestingly cut or coloured glass? Have any door with a window? Here’s an idea for a fun at-home photoshoot!
These photos were taken at Ivori Studios in Mississauga, Ontario during an engagement/surprise proposal shoot and I absolutely LOVE how they turned out! There were a set of stand-alone French doors; all I did was get the couple to stand behind them while I shot through the glass. I gave them specific prompts and look how they turned out!
To do this at home, you can set up your phone or camera on a tripod or get creative and lean your phone against a cup on a chair! Once you have your camera set up, make sure you’re in the frame on the other side and set the self-timer. Then use the reflection/crease in the glass to get these types of interesting looks! Now move around, fake laugh, cuddle in close and smile, eyes open, eyes closed, hold hands… you can get a million different shots so simply! Kiss, hug, be INTIMATE and see what you get! You can even get a friend to shoot for you; though a friend doing this photoshoot will likely be a bit more awkward than a professional photographer shooting it who’s trained in making people feel comfortable in front of a lens (AKA me).
If you try this, send me some photos to show me how it turned out!!
